Export and reexport of Sybase (including iAnywhere and Financial Fusion) products is controlled under regulations administered by the U.S. Commerce Department Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Sybase complies with all applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations. All Sybase products may be exported to all countries except those countries (shown below) that are restricted from receiving U.S. exports under BIS regulations.

Sybase products are prohibited from export or reexport to the following:
- Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria.
- If you "know or have reason to know" that a reshipment to one of these destinations will take place, you may not ship to such a user.
- Entities listed on any U.S. Government Denied Party/Person List issued by the Commerce Department’s BIS and the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control's Economic and Trade (OFAC).
- Any customer you know or have reason to know, who is involved in the design, development, manufacture or production of nuclear technology, or nuclear, biological or chemical "weapons of mass destruction."
Export Classifications for Sybase Products
Some Sybase products contain encryption that requires Sybase to officially classify the product, and Sybase has worked with BIS to properly classify all those Sybase products.
